Lori Beneyton

Studio 242

Lori Beneyton was a marketer, a mother, an occasional writer and singer, when she also became a painter.  Distressed by the circumstances of life, in 2019 she picked up a paint brush and found connection, direction and a sense of accomplishment and control over the world she created.

With no formal art education, Lori spent hours practicing and studying technique with a succession of teachers, finally landing with Adriano Farinella who helped her to find her unique voice.  She began showing and selling in 2020 at various galleries and venues across the region including the Luckenbach Mill (with LAA), Gallery840, Broad and Belvidere, The Twisted Olive, ExhibitB Gallery, the Banana Factory, the Emmaus Library, Indian Valley Public Library, Art in the Park.

Lori has run a variety of art classes for seniors as well as paint nights for parties and large groups.

Lori paints in acrylic on canvas.  Her work falls somewhere between impressionism and abstraction and is inspired by the beauty she sees all around her.  She celebrates the interaction of color,  the balance of shapes, and the feel of edges coming together.  Her colors are often bold and complimentary; her compositions are quirky and original.  Overall, her work feels vibrant, moving, and alive.

Lori lives in Lower Milford Township.  In addition to her painting practice, Lori is employed as the Marketing Director of the Allentown Symphony.
