Jill Italiano is the creative force behind House of Metalworks in Emmaus, Pennsylvania. Her journey in jewelry began after a rich decade in the culinary arts, where she honed her skills at the New England Culinary Institute and across prestigious US kitchens. Seeking new creative avenues, Italiano returned to the East Coast and was captivated by jewelry making while working for a gold importer. This discovery led me to formal metalsmithing training at the Silvermine Guild of Artists in New Canaan, Connecticut, and subsequently to founding her own line, Jill I. Designs.
After developing her craft, Italiano transitioned from selling on New York City’s streets to participating in significant art shows, including the Handmade section at The NY Gift Show and the Buyers Market of American Craft. These venues exposed her work to gallery owners across the US and Canada, and even led to her gemstone line being featured at the Philadelphia Museum of Art during their Cezanne exhibit.
Italiano’s designs often feature kinetic elements that enhance wearer interaction, turning each piece into a dynamic narrative of resilience, transformation, and beauty. Forging from raw materials into lasting jewelry, she strives to create pieces that are not only beautiful but also meaningful and durable, embodying stories of life’s journey and the spirit of innovation.
