Full Day Summer Camp for Ages 6-9
Half or Full Day Studio Intensives for Ages 10-12
Get ready for an exciting summer at JuxtaHub! You’ll find our 4-week Summer Camp program packed with a broad mix of activities, including ceramics, 3D printing, drawing & painting, illustration, printmaking, fiber art, storytelling, and more.
All camps are held at our newly renovated facility, conveniently located at 375 S.10th in Emmaus, where we provide plenty of creative art & STEM activities, outdoor adventures, and guidance from experienced staff members in a small group setting.
Our goal? To help young people build confidence, forge new friendships, and discover their creative potential. But at the end of the day, our hope is that our campers walk away with the best lesson of all — learning is fun!
We believe every kid who wants to make art should be able to come to camp. Click here for more information on full-tuition scholarships provided by the Lehigh Valley Community Foundation’s Trusted Response Grant.
For Younger Kids (Ages 6-9)
This program is designed to be extremely flexible. Whether you want to sign up for 1 week or attend all 4, each day is guaranteed to be unique and memorable. That means that every week features different lessons, each crafted as stand-alone experiences, but campers who attend multiple sessions will have a valuable opportunity to build skills and explore new ideas more deeply over time.
Please note all programs for younger campers are full day (9-3:30) with the option to add before and/or after care if needed.
Week 1 (July 6 – July 10)
Foundations & Materials Exploration
Get ready to discover your inner artist! Campers will be exposed to a wide variety of exciting projects as they build confidence exploring core art skills, materials, and processes in both 2D and 3D formats.
Week 2 (July 13 – July 17)
Storytelling: Story, Place and Imagination
Who doesn’t love a good story? This week campers engage in a variety of visual art projects designed to help them tell stories, create characters, and build imaginative worlds.
Week 3 (July 27 – July 31)
Innovation, Design and Making
Calling all engineers! During innovation week campers explore how artists and designers turn their ideas into unique inventions through planning, prototyping, and making.
Week 4 (Aug 3 – Aug 7)
Creative Construction: From 2D to 3D
Building kicks into high gear in week 4. Campers connect drawing, planning, and simple construction techniques as they learn how to transform their ideas on paper into completed 3D works.
For Older Kids (ages 10-12)
With dedicated morning and afternoon studio sessions, older campers will have the opportunity to spend extended time exploring a specific creative discipline with a skilled instructor in a small-group setting. Campers may enroll in individual sessions or pair AM and PM studios for a full-day experience, with the option to add before and/or after care if needed. Here are the studio sessions and our weekly lineup.
3D Printing (3 sessions available) Get ready for a week of hands-on creativity, tech exploration, and serious fun! This camp dives into the world of 3D printing — from designing custom models to bringing them to life and even painting their own creations. Each day is packed with interactive activities, cool tech tools (we provide tablets!), and take-home projects your child will be proud of.
Design Lab: Prints & Patterns (only 1 session available) This hands-on studio intensive is all about designing, building, and experimenting. Students create bold prints, graphic patterns, and wearable or functional pieces while exploring how artists and designers use symbols, repetition, and materials to communicate ideas. From printmaking to textiles, campers will be challenged to think like designers, test new techniques, and turn creative concepts into projects they can wear, use, and show off.
Wheelthrowing (2 sessions available) Dive into the exciting world of wheel throwing. With step-by-step guidance from an experienced ceramics teaching artist, campers learn how to center clay, shape forms, and refine their work while creating functional pieces and building patience, confidence, and studio skills.
Handbuilding (2 sessions available) While wheel throwing is super fun, there’s a broad range of techniques to master using your own two hands. With guidance from a skilled teaching artist, campers will learn how to pinch, roll, join, and shape clay into functional objects and sculptural forms—building creativity, confidence, and problem-solving skills along the way.
