Tracy Maley is an artist and art educator based in Kutztown, Pennsylvania, where she lives and works within a creatively rich environment shaped by music, visual art, literature, photography, and the surrounding outdoors. Her practice is deeply influenced by this vibrant setting and by
her family’s shared commitment to the arts. Maley’s husband, Patrick Maley, is a former graphic designer and graphic design instructor who now works in administration at Lehigh Career and Technical Institute. Their children, Griffin and Madelyn, are both pursuing creative paths—Griffin as a double major in Theater and English Writing at the University of Pittsburgh, and Madelyn as a future interior design student following her graduation from Kutztown High School.
Tracy holds a Bachelor of Science in Art Education from Kutztown University and a Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art from New York University. While studying at NYU, she attended the university’s satellite campus in Venice, Italy, where she spent two summers painting in a studio and immersing herself in art history. With 32 years of experience teaching art in the East Penn School District, Tracy has dedicated her career to nurturing creativity and fostering a lifelong appreciation for the arts in countless students.
Tracy’s artwork serves as a channel for human expression, emotions, lived experiences, and a deep love of the natural world. Working in oil, acrylic, watercolor, and mixed media, she draws inspiration from time spent outdoors—hiking, mountain biking, skiing, and paddleboarding—where she is continually captivated by the beauty of trees and the surrounding landscape. Living and working primarily in the Lehigh Valley, Berks County, and Potter County, Tracy experiences the dynamic shifts of light, color, shape, and texture that unfold throughout the seasons. Through her art, Tracy aims to share the sense of wonder and inspiration the outdoors instills in her, and she looks forward to spending time with fellow artists at the Juxtahub art studio.
